Routes 330 (towards Thames Barrier, exit bus at Pontoon Dock, stop S), 473 (towards North Woolwich, exit bus at Constance street, stop D) & 474 (towards Canning Town, exit bus at Saville Road, stop B) all stop near the venue.

By Car

There are street parking around the area. We have blue badge - disabled car parking available, please call us to reserve your space.

 

Show Detail

Dido’s Bar is an immersive theatre and music show. As our audience you can expect a similar experience to going to a regular music bar. You will be allocated a table, you can enjoy a drink and snack, while listening to the music as the drama happens around you. Dido’s Bar is located in an old warehouse which can get cold at night, we advise you to come wrapped-up warm.

Show Warning

Contains strong language, and depictions of violence and death including of a racial nature. Please note there is a large glitter ball reflecting lights that could affect people with photosensitive conditions.


ACCESS For All

Wheelchair Users

There are four wheelchair spaces for every performance. The access to Dido’s Bar has a step free access. There will be a temporary accessible toilet outside the building. There are steps to access the bar, to order drinks and snacks there will be stewards to help you. Please inform Box Office when you book.

ASSISTANCE DOGS

Assistance dogs are welcome in Dido’s Bar. Please inform Box Office when you book.

SIGNED PERFORMANCES (BSL-interpreted performances)

We offer a BSL interpreted performance for D/deaf British Sign Language Users on 7 October 2022. Our BSL interpreters will be Deborah McLeod & Hyacinth Powell.

COMPANION TICKETS

We want as many people as possible to be able to access Dido’s Bar. If you identify as disabled and cannot attend a show without the support of a companion or carer, we can offer you a companion ticket free of charge to make it easier for you to see a show. Companion tickets are not available online, so please contact the Box Office directly on 020 8534 0310 or email tickets@stratfordeast.com to book your tickets.

Under 25 TICKETS

We offer a number of £7.50 & £10 tickets for full time students and people aged 25 and under. You will be asked for proof of age or full-time student status when you enter Dido’s Bar.

Local Newham TICKETS

We offer a number of £7.50 & £10 tickets for those living locally (with Newham postcode) to the show . You will be asked for proof of address when you enter Dido’s Bar.


FAQ

ENTRY

What time should I arrive for the performance?
Please arrive at least 15 minutes before the performance if possible. Our performances start at the time stated on your ticket and attendees not seated in the bar by this time may not be able to be admitted. The show is set in an old factory warehouse (Unit F) at the end of the drive of The Factory Industrial estate.
Please allow a 3 -5-minute walk from the entrance of the estate to Unit F. There will be stewards to show you where the building is.

What is a preview performance?
Previews are public performances before the official press night. The purpose of preview performances is for the creative team to identify any problems or opportunities for improvement that weren't found during the rehearsal process.

Do I need to print my e-ticket - 
No, e-tickets do not need to be printed. Simply show your ticket on your device to a member of staff upon arrival

I bought Newham Resident tickets how do I proof this?
Please bring a proof of address with your name matching the tickets - they can be a driving license or a utility bill or bank statement.

Can I take photos and videos during the show?

You are welcome to take photos and videos before and after the show and at the interval. We ask you to not record or capture anything during the show.
