Experience the world like
never before with Dash Arts,
the award-winning international theatre company that redefines the boundaries of artistic expression.
OUR MISSION
Dash Arts is dedicated to making art that matters. We shine a spotlight on the pressing issues of our time, giving voice to marginalised communities and unheard stories. Our goal is to foster a space where artists and audiences can engage with innovative ideas, diverse cultures, and unique perspectives.
OUR JOURNEY
Founded in 2005 by visionary co-directors Josephine Burton and Tim Supple, Dash Arts has collaborated with over 10,000 artists and participants, reaching live audiences of more than 400,000 people across the globe in over 27 productions. Our portfolio boasts acclaimed productions such as the immersive The Great Middlemarch Mystery from Coventry City of Culture 2021, the double Olivier-award-winning Babel, and the celebrated A Midsummer Night’s Dream, which dazzled audiences in Stratford and at London’s Roundhouse before embarking on an international tour.
SPeak out! workshops
Since 2023, as part of our research for the theatre production Our Public House and Albion series, we have been traveling across the country to understand the changes people wish to see. In return, we’ve empowered individuals by helping them craft and deliver impactful speeches that serve as catalysts for change.
Collaborating with leading academic experts, Professor Alan Finlayson from the University of East Anglia and Professor Henriette van der Blom from the University of Birmingham, we now offer our workshops to schools, universities, community groups, and workplaces.
If you are interested in having a workshop and would like to discuss options, please contact Cristina at: cristina@dasharts.org.uk
““Truly uplifting, energising and fruitful – the team learned so much, grew in confidence and picked up so many insights – perhaps most powerfully, they learned they CAN give a stirring political speech!””

OUR PUBLIC HOUSE
Our Public House will be a 'state of the nation' theatre production exploring England today, reflecting who we are and how we talk about ourselves.
Set to premiere in 2025/26, Director Josephine Burton and writer Barney Norris are currently developing the script, inspired by speech-making workshops we’ve led across the country.

Reckoning
In addition to Our Public House, we are currently developing Reckoning - a theatre production is inspired by witness testimonies gathered by Ukrainian journalists from survivors of Russian aggression in Ukraine.
It will be a compelling work of drama that gives a powerful human face to this international tragedy.
