REVOLUTION17

REVOLUTION17 was a five-year series that exploded with new perspectives, extraordinary artists and challenging ideas as we presented a year of vibrant and urgent performance from the turbulent Soviet century.

From 2012-2017, Dash Arts was immersed in an artistic journey of development through the lands, people, stories and cultures of the Post Soviet States - searching for a deep understanding of the region before, during and since the Soviet Union and culminating across 2017 with monthly Dash Cafes featuring live music, film, performance, readings and discussions; our revolutionary summer house the Dash Arts Dacha appearing across the UK; and Dash Gigs with a rush of live music, film and performance featuring leading musicians from Ukraine, Russia, Azerbaijan and Belarus.

This also included Dash Blaze, an intense rush of performances, events, workshops, films, club nights and live music throughout July at Rich Mix, Latitude, EBRD, and WOMAD featuring leading musicians from Ukraine, Russia, Armenia and Belarus.
