Ten Days That Shook The World
1 July 7pm - 6am 2 July 2017 | Rich Mix, London

Through the night, performers, musicians, DJs and films will take audiences through the 1917 Revolution in St Petersburg that changed the world.  Our audience will become participants in a unique impromptu staging of John Reed's thrilling first-hand account TEN DAYS THAT SHOOK THE WORLD.  Immortalised in Eisenstein's silent film OCTOBER) and many years later in Warren Beatty's John Reed-biopic REDS, the book is a short and stunning first-hand narrative of the Bolshevik revolution.  The improvised staging will be scheduled throughout the night and interspersed with electric gigs, pulsating DJ sets and movies -- all in our DACHA space.

All survivors will be sent out into the morning filled with a Russian breakfast (with ingredients provided by KinoVino Catering) and, we hope, the memory of a never-to-be-repeated experience.

Ten Days That Shook The World is an Associate Programme of the wider ART NIGHT event occuring in galleries, clubs and other unexpected places throughout Whitechapel overnight on Saturday 1 July.
